I'm Sadie Leigh, I'm 21 years old, and this website contains my life.

 

I hate how one sided the music industry can be, and I believe I can change that. No, I don't have tons of followers. You're right, no one knows my name or my music. We're getting there. But that's what makes me so excited about this. My music is as much yours as it is mine. I want you to see more than just the shiny final product, but the behind the scenes of my failures, mistakes, and roadblocks in addition to my triumphs and breakthroughs. I want to take you with me through it all.

I grew up surrounded by music. My dad was a musician and had me singing before I was speaking. My mom had the best damn music taste on the planet and had me listening to the Stones before I listened to Elmo's World. I wrote my first song at age 2. The topic? Winnie the Pooh. I went on to write more and more, picking up guitar and little bits of piano. I sang at my community pool and at my high school basketball games. Music was always an outlet for me, the songs I release little bits of my life that I felt like sharing. There is a lot of pain in them. There's a lot of sadness. But there is also so much happiness. Through writing I gain clarity. It's how I've grown and learned and become the person I am today. And I'm still getting there. I'm the biggest work in progress you've ever seen.
